Modern Family Sues Fox
The stars of ABC's hit "Modern Family" are suing their bosses at Fox alleging that Fox and its affiliates violated their employment rights by tying them to contracts that are "void and illegal" under California law. The stars rely on California Labor Code Section 2855(a) which says that: "a contract to render personal service...may not be enforced against the employee beyond seven years from the commencement of service under it." Allegedly, Sofia Vergara's contract runs for eight years and is therefore barred by the seven-year rule. Stay tuned to see what happens next.
